CF Vests Worldwide has donated 13 RespirTech and Hill Rom Cystic Fibrosis vests to CF patients in Mexico
CF Vests Worldwide recently gave a vest to Ivanna in Mexico. This is the SIXTH vest CF Vests Worldwide has donated to Mexico, and the 36TH vest CF Vests Worldwide has sent to CF patients in Central and South America.
The below is Ivanna's story, as told by her mother -
"Ivanna was born one month premature in November 2018. While she was sent home immediately after birth, Ivanna returned to the hospital two days later because she could not keep food down. Ivanna was placed in ICU after having undergone surgery to ease her situation and while in ICU, she was diagnosed with CF. I prayed this was all the mistake and that it had to be something else, something curable.
Fortunately, the doctors in Mexico City were very helpful and provided me with all information and resources needed so Ivanna can continue to grow healthy and strong. With the help of many family members, I’m able to provide Ivanna all the care she needs.
We visit her CF specialist in Mexico City every three months to ensure everything continues to go well. In 2019, I teamed up with the CF association from Mexico to help coordinate the very first March for CF awareness."
