It all started when I met Daniela, a friend who has cystic fibrosis and lives in the US. She "introduced" me The Vest (a physiotherapy vest that helps to move secretions from the lungs of patients with CF). My sister (in memorian), a lawyer, once filed a lawsuit requesting a vest for me. But unfortunately the judge denied it (it costs approximately R$60,000.00). We were sad, my dream and my sister's dream was very far away. Twelve years have passed and today, my sister, I dedicate this dream (which came true) to you, that wherever you are, you will be very happy for me. I recently met a foundation located in Dallas, Texas (through my friend Dani) that donates The Vest to the entire world. I am very grateful for having met Rod Spadinger (foundation director) who made me believe that there are still good people who care about others!!! I thank the donor's daughter, for her solidarity!! Everything was falling into place, so that The Vest came to me, approximately 45 days; because as soon as I received the confirmation that I would get the vest, a friend of Dani's, Peter Gruppo, would come to Brazil (São Paulo) in a few days. I got in touch with Peter, and my cousin Érica, who lives in São Paulo, would get VEST for me. Everything was very organized and planned for everything to work out. Today, I have no doubts that God and angels on earth do exist: it's you, Rod, Daniela, Peter and Erica. Thank you to everyone who contributed to improving my quality of life!!!
