Meet Naya of the Gaza Strip on Day 4 of the Second Annual CF Vests Worldwide 8 Days of Love Fundraising Campaign to benefit Cystic Fibrosis patients around the world with Cystic Fibrosis Therapy Vests
Introducing Cystic Fibrosis patient Naya of the Gaza Strip.
“Naya’s tragedy began six months after she was born. Initially, there was no clear diagnosis of the disease due to delays in testing for several months due to the lack of a sweat test kit. For two months, the little girl suffered from severe pneumonia, which required hospitalization more than 8 times in two months. A sweat test was performed and the case was diagnosed with hereditary cystic fibrosis. |
Today, I am completely unable to secure a normal life for my daughter. I didn't expect the situation to get to what it was, and I couldn't take it anymore. I see her in pain in front of me every day, and I can do nothing to ease her pain, especially when she coughs. I have turned to many charities, but I am ashamed of myself and of asking for help because our appeal was not dealt with, and I can no longer bear the view of medicine in the Gaza Strip that Naya's death is only a matter of time.
I appeal to you to look with mercy and sympathy and to offer assistance to help my innocent child, consider it a humanitarian case, and include her as a cystic fibrosis patient with you, my daughter is one of the youngest cystic fibrosis patients in the Gaza Strip, and she is a model of the true suffering of a sick child inside Gaza, in addition to The great challenge my family faces is to overcome complications and remove the specter of death for my child.
Having a vest means overcoming the complications of the disease and removing the specter of death from my child.
Better health, better sleep, better breathing, new hope, new life”.
