Thanks to your support, the CF Vests Worldwide Team donated a Hill Rom Cystic Fibrosis vest to RAFAEL, living in Cluj, Romania. CF Vests Worldwide donated 16 Cystic Fibrosis vests to CF patients in Romania.
“Rafael had the first CF symptoms at the age of 6 months, manifested by dehydration and a persistent cough. 2 years of hospitalizations and investigations followed, and at the age of 2 years old he was diagnosed, with a genetic test, as being DF 508 homozygous, sick with CF. Followed 10 years of inhalation treatments. From April 2022, he is also on treatment with Orkambi, which is also approved in Romania.
He is currently 12 years old, he goes to school, we have tried all the methods and possibilities, both medical and financial, that we are willing to provide him with a normal and a good life as possible.”
