Facebook Memory - October 8, 2022 - Nohan received the very first Hill Rom Cystic Fibrosis vest CF Vests Worldwide has donated to France

CF Vests Worldwide has donated 351 Hill Rom and RespirTech Cystic Fibrosis vests to CF patients in 60 countries

This is his story -

"Nohan was diagnosed at 2months old from genetic testing. Then sweat test, we had it done 3x then finally get the result. He was born with elevated bilirubin which then leads to liver damaged. There were times he looked awfully yellow with yellow eyes and jet vomiting. The first year was tough some days I thought he will not make it but through the though times he reminds a happy baby stay active that’s what keeps the hope keep going. His bilirubin finally came down after 6 month left his liver scarring and enlarged, unfortunately we can not reverse it. The only thing we can do is to keep it stabilize, to avoid further damage. Nohan is currently meeting PT 2x per week we had to commute 2hours each for a 15mins sessions. The vest from CFvest4Life will bring better improvement for Nohan physio, then we can do physio independently without depending on PT all the time. Or for times in case he catch cold we use it right away instead trying to get extra appointments with PT which can be difficult can not have it anytime we need it. PT availability in our area are also very limited, so I very thankful to get an opportunity to get the vest!"
